Back in January of this year, I had a chance to work on an exciting project for one of our clients. He brought in an antique water well pump jack that needed to be restored so he could use it as a test unit as well as featuring it as a showpiece in the lobby of his company’s corporate headquarters.
As you can see from the before and after photos, this job required a lot of detailed work. I had to completely dismantle the unit and replace all of the shafts and bearings.
I modified and re-machined the parts so the unit could fit in a constrained area. The job required some welding, cutting and sanding as well. Then I re-assembled the unit and painted it the company’s corporate colour. Finally, I installed the unit on a custom manufactured cart. The customer was very satisfied with the end result.
